Barn Conversion

This is the conversion of an existing rural agricultural barn set in a clearing in a wooded area. The barn structure is retained and the external building fabric is re-clad with timber and insulated in order to provide a suitable environment for cars.

There is room for ten cars to be displayed within the main space plus a new mezzanine level is constructed to one side of the barn to house a bar and seating area for relaxing and entertaining. The mezzanine has a direct view over the cars below, but can also be closed off with a bespoke shutter system in order to provide better temperature control when required.

Full height glazing is inserted to one side of the building to provide views of the surrounding woods. The entire space uses a sensor controlled dehumidification system in order to keep the cars in perfect condition. These windows can be sealed off via a security shutter system when the building is not in use.
